Deuces are Wild
This game has the same Outside and Inside Straights as Jacks are Better does. But in this game there is something called a penalty card. A penalty card is a when you had a potentially useful card was thrown out in favor of a better card. For example, if a player had a 3 to a royal and a 4 to a flush the right way to play that hand would be to keep 3 to the royal and then dump the discard the fourth suited card. The card that you discarded would be called a flush penalty card because it could have been used to complete the flush. When a player gets rid of that type of card and it affects the odds of completing the flush then it is called a penalized card.
Some players believe that if they play more bets that the payout will be better. Not true, no matter how much money you put in will not change the way the cards come out. The cards are programmed to come out randomly. Each machine is progressive more difficult than the Jacks are Better machines. In the game Deuces are wild, the deuces become the wild symbol fro any other card, sometimes in a regular poker game you will hear jokers are wild but in this case the deuces are wild. They can be used as another card except for another 2.
The winning hand in Deuces are Wild are the Royal Flush, Four Deuces, Wild Royal Flush, Five of a Kind, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight and Three of a Kind. With any of these hands you have won, how much you win will depend on the machine and how much they pay out. The pay table will be shown on each machine. If they are not, there will be a help button on the machine that will show you the payouts.
Remember the strategy you have learned here can only be used at this type of game. Just as you cannot take the strategies from Jacks or Better and apply them here because they will not work. As soon as you switch to a new machine you have to adjust to the new game. If you get confused with rules and tips you are not going to do well.
Here are some basic strategies to play Deuces Wild. They are:
Hold only with 4 Wild Cards
3 Wild Plus 2 Cards Wild Royal Flush
2 Wild and 3 of a Kind
1 Wild and 4 of a Kind
1 Wild and 3 of a Kind
1 Wild and 4 Card Flush
1 Wild Card and 2 pair
There are so many different combinations, hands with no wilds, hands with 1 wild, hands with 2, 3 or 4 wilds. The possibilities are endless. If you play the cards right and you analyze your hand then you decrease the chance of getting a penalty card. Listen to your cards and hope for a Deuce.
